Todd’s musical journey started out like many musicians with the playing the piano at an early age.  This carried over to trumpet and French horn and later learning to play the double (upright) bass in the orchestra at Kansas State University, where I also played bass in the jazz band and the K-State Singers. During college, I also played bass professionally for a swing dance band.   After college I learned to play the acoustic guitar and stumbled onto the fact that I could sing. I’ve always enjoyed classic rock, especially from the 1970s, and grew up listening to many of the groups and songwriters who I later would emulate as Todd & the Two-Tars.
